SAA Cargo continues to devote its resources to the constant improvement and installation of facilities to handle all types of cargo, including the highly specialized movement of perishable goods. SAA Cargo’s vision is to be a choice provider of transport solutions, dominant in Southern Africa, with worldwide networks offering access to all markets with our core focus being airport-to-airport. Our mission is to provide superior, specialized mail and air cargo service through partnerships with our clients globally. SAA Freighters and Cargo’s Facilities: Besides using the belly space of SAA’s passenger aircraft, SAA Cargo operates dedicated freighter aircraft on a charter and scheduled basis. To ensure efficient movement of cargo, SAA Cargo has invested millions in upgrading ground handling facilities in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth. The upgrade has included the introduction of a racking and bar-coding system as well as Rapid application Development System, SAFRON which will facilitate efficient recording and tracing of cargo and will focus on improved customer and product services. SAA Cargo also has Cool Rooms and Safe (Security) Rooms to ensure that cargo is stored in ideal conditions. 	SAA Cargo in Thailand SAA Cargo has appointed Sun Aviation Co., Ltd. as General Sales Agent for Thailand as from July 1, 1999. At the same time SAA’s Regional Cargo Management office for Asia Pacific has also been moved to Bangkok. The Cargo office is now located at:
